Start Proposals

Ready to begin your research journey? This is your starting point for turning ideas into action—whether you're new to research or refining your next big project, you'll find the guidance and tools you need to get started with confidence.

Every successful proposal starts well before the deadline. The timeline below shows the full path from early planning through submission, and when to connect with the staff who support you at each stage. Research development (ORD) staff help you shape and strengthen your proposal in the months beforehand; sponsored programs (OSP) staff review it for compliance and submit it as the deadline approaches. The earlier you begin, the more support is available
