Overview

Postdoctoral scholars are integral to Syracuse University's research mission, and a postdoc appointment is also a chance to build the skills and experience that advance your career. Postdoc Affairs staff can help you with professional and career development, access to campus resources, funding and recognition opportunities, and events that connect the postdoc community, working alongside the Graduate School Professional and Career Development Office and other campus partners.

Postdocs at Syracuse can take advantage of:

• The Vice President for Research Postdoctoral Award for Excellence in Research and Creative Work. Awardees are selected annually; applications open in May and close in July, submitted through the SU application portal.
• Career exploration workshops and panels covering industry, academia, think tanks and NGOs, government, the non-profit sector, and beyond.
• Social events, from luncheons and dinners with PIs and supervisors to informal postdoc gatherings, plus free or discounted event tickets.
